About the Artist
G.Yallo, G-LO, or Gylo (She/Her) is a 23 year old illustrator from Mississauga. She is an HBA undergrad at the University of Toronto. Her work is influenced by her love for blocky expressive retro cartoons, street art, and comical TV media.
Trivia
- It may be no surprise - yellow is my favourite colour. "Giallo" means "Yellow" in Italian.
- I have a history of dabbling in music production and sampling disco music. 70s-90s electronic music is my special interest!
- My academic specialty is classical literature.
- "Spirit the stallion of the cimarron" was one of my favourite childhood films that nudged me into art & narration.
